Maybe try putting some vaseline on them. They might just need the moisture to be more pliable. I know that sounds really horrible, but I would think with all that stress on them they are probably sore from over working them.
I hope they feel better soon!!!!!

My nipples alway felt like at first. Im sure solely pumping would hurt worse. I just stuck it out.
I am on the phone with Tiff and she says to use Bag Balm.

Lanolin worked for me. The soreness will eventually go away.

Oh man, I know how you are feeling! I was the same way right after I had baby #2. I used lanolin along with breast shells when not pumping. The breast shells helped minimize the contact my nipples had with my bra and let air in on them between nursing/pumping. Do you have a lactation consultant? I would check with her and tell her the problems you are having. She should have some samples of lanolin and other things that can help you out! Brandi posted about some things that she used but I can't remember what they are called. I'll see if I can find the post for you :yes
I found them. They are called soothies, here is the link http://www.soothies.com/gelpads_faqs.html

I agree. The breast shells are nice :)
I have been pumping for almost 2 months now, and they STILL hurt :(
But she started latching on yesterday so it may be over :woohoo
