Has anyone ever taken that to induce your period?
I had my Progesterone levels drawn yesterday and the 50 mgs of Clomid did not work and I did not ovulate this month. :(
So, the Dr wants me to go ahead and induce my cycle and double up on my Clomid and take 100 mgs CD5-9. She wants me to make SURE that it's CD21 that I go in and get tested on next cycle. I went in on CD24 this time because CD21 was on Sat and then they were off on Labor Day so I couldn't go in till yesterday CD24. But, my levels were insanely low... like .075 or something like that :no I was pretty upset but glad they are taking control and upping the Clomid right away. I feel like they care you know?
Anyhoo, back to the question. If you have taken Provera, how long did it take to start your cycle? The nurse said that they say take it for 10 days but to stop it as soon as I start my period. She said it could be as early as 2 days after taking it or up to 10 days. I was just wondering what everyones success was with it.

I did. when I went off Depo to get pregnant I wouldn't start. After a few months they put me on provera to kick start my P. Boy, it was bad when I did get it.:lol

I did once. It took me about 14 days after stopping it to start. I don't think that is the norm though. My period also wasn't any worse than normal, which is super light near nothing.

I have to take it every time i start my clomid. i dont have regular periods. in fact, i have some sitting in my cabinet, waiting for my hubby to get home, so i can take it:giggle

I started after about 7 or 8 days.

I've taken provera several times...... usually I"m only given a 7 day prescription and usually start around 2 days after my last pill... I think the first time I took it (years ago) I got a ten day dose, but I'm pretty reg. about starting within 3 days after I take my last pill.

I take it and hate it!!! Aunt Flo is soooo horrible for me! I take it for 5 days give or take. Usually after taking it for 3 days I get it the next day or so and it's sooo heavy.

I was taking clomid 100mg for 5 days and that didn't work for me. I never did ovulate. My infertility doc only wanted me to take it for 6 months. Now we're waiting on a follow up appt. to see what's next.

Do you need to take all 10 pills or just stop once AF shows up if it does before the pills are gone?
AF started on it's own August 12th and that was the 1st period I had since November 24th last year :faint It was HELL ON EARTH! I hope one day my body decides to have a period on its own and ovulate on it own too. And getting pregnant would be awesome.
Kathy, you and I have such similar sounding bodies in this aspect. I hope that the Clomid works for you when Steve gets home.
