I'm getting ready to fly out to the 29 Palms/Pendleton area.... I'm looking to find other girlfriends/fiance's/wives that know the general area... I've never been to Cali before, so this is all new to me...

first off, traffic is a nightmare! i don't know if your man has a car, but even so, i would suggest taking the bus from the airport to the train station and then taking the train out of san diego! it will save you both a headache of dealing with traffic when all you want to do is spend time together! :)

Just some info: 29 Palms is approx. 3 hours away from Pendleton. I live north east of Pendleton. If I can be of any help, let me know.

i totally agree with this! :yes especially if you're flying into san diego to go up to camp pendleton. taxis are super super expensive. (5 miles can be $20). 29 Palms is about 3+ hours from san diego/camp pendleton. the only reason i can think that you'd go from one to the other is if he's about to graduate SOI, immediately go to 29 palms after, and you'll be following him out here. that's what happened to my hubby and i. (the guys left for 29 palms 30 min after the ceremony). be prepared to rent a car in that case. there's no public transportation out to here from there. a taxi ride out here from palm springs can run $100. but if that's not the plan then just ignore this :giggle.
