I used to call it pop, then I moved to Wisconsin and they convinced me it was called soda, so now I say soda, occasionally I still slip up and call it pop! Why on earth anybody calls it coke I will never understand!!! If someone asks you what you want to drink here and you respond with coke, you will get a damn coco-cola!!!!!!

Ummmmm if it's Coke, it's coke. If it's "soda"- it's fizzy drink.

Never called it Soda in my life.. unless it's creaming soda or soda water.

I grew up calling it pop (cringing!) and when I got to high school, I started calling it soda. I laugh whenever I hear 'pop' it reminds me of my mom!

Soda.

I hate pop......even hated it in the midwest where I grew up. Calling a sprite a coke sounds wrong....and fizzy? who ever calls it a fizzy I have never heard of that before ever.

I say coke or soda pop. I use both words. People think I am a little weird because of it and have tried convincing me that I do not need to use the "pop" after "soda", but I don't believe them.

Coke is TOTALLY a southern thing! I've grown up calling ANY type of soda, pop, coke, whatever COKE! LOL!!

I've gotten better since moving though.. I will tell them EXACTLY what I want instead of just saying coke! LOL!!

What I find INSANE here is that they don't have Dr. Pepper in their fountain drinks! :shock I couldn't BELIEVE IT! This is a pepsi state just like up north. I was SERIOUSLY going through withdrawels when my family took a vacation up to New England and NO ONE had Dr. Pepper. :faint
