In a lot of these dishes, I see that as an ingredient. It's been so long since I've used it b/c he hates the taste of mushrooms. So I'm afraid to try some of these dishes. My question is, since I can't remember, can you taste this ingredient in the dish?

I usually substitute cream of chicken, I feel the same way about mushrooms.

i don't like the taste of mushrooms, and i can't taste it in my hunnie's famouse chicken and rice dish. he uses it and i can't even taste it with everything else.

My oldest dd hates mushrooms, but she never notices when I make dishes with the cream of mushroom soup. In fact one of her favorite ones right now is made with the cream of mushroom soup...it's porkchops cooked in it and then the left over part is used as gravy and she pours it all over her rice or potatoes (which ever we may be having that time).

There arn't any big mushroom pieces in it. I LOVE mushrooms and I can't really taste them when I make things with it. My buddy Jon HATES mushrooms and I cook for him quite often and he can never tell I've used it

I use cream of mushroom when it calls for it.. then again we like mushrooms so I've never worried about the taste...

I use cream of chicken or they also sell cream of chicken and mushroom which has even less mushroom pieces in it!

I make this and its SO good. I wish I had pork chops thats what I'd make for dinner if I did!

I love cream of mushroom, they actually make a blend one...cream of mushroom & chicken. That is my FAVORITE! mmm........

It works great with chicken breast too... I cook them that way and add in a tsp or so of chili powder.. DH loves it with spanish rice!
