well, i guess he is anyway. i can't pick him up under his front legs like we always have cause he'll squeel. i think gwen was trying to play too rough with him and hurt him. could it be that he's just bruised? i can't really figure out exactly where he's hurt, but like i said, i can't pick him up under his front legs, and he won't jump up on the furniture. anything i can do to aleive his pain?

That happened to my male papillon about 6months ago. All the vet gave me were some muscle relaxers. I took him in twice and spent over 250.......the vet never could figure it out. He was perfectly fine about 4 days later:puzz

well, i figured i didn't need to bring him in. but it's so sad :( i can't stand to hear him cry like that, and i can't stand not having him cuddled up next to me on the couch.

ok so, anyone have any advice on how i can get gwen to stop trying to be so rough with him? cause otherwise it's just going to happen again. i understand she's still a puppy and just wants to play, so i guess it's just continuous disicpline for her acting like that towards him?

can you flip him on his back and look to see if there are scratches or sores there? if there isn't i'm betting it's just sore muscles

i tried. his hair is too thick and it's black so i couldn't see anything. i'm betting she just grabbed him a little too hard. :( i still feel bad though. i've been coddling him even more than normal. :lol

You can give him a baby asprin to help relieve the muscle pain and see if that works. Give him a day or two, he may have just strained a muscle.
