View Full Version : Sending cookies ArmyGirl 09-16-2007, 05:13 PM Whats the best way to pack them up???? *Melissa* 09-16-2007, 05:17 PM I put them in the Glad wear containers(the reusable kind) Jo 09-16-2007, 06:10 PM I've also put them in empty Pringles cans...but usually I just put them in Glad containers. :) Aurora 09-16-2007, 06:19 PM I put them in plastic baggies and then in tupperware. Someone on here suggested putting bread in the bag with them because it keeps them moist but I've never tried it. ohmylis 09-16-2007, 06:45 PM I've sent them in gladware and in ziplock bags. The bags didn't turn out as well as the containers, db said one whole bag was crumbs! :giggle Julianne 09-16-2007, 06:54 PM A piece of bread will absorb moisture. Undercook them a little bit so they stay soft/chewy. If you cook them all the way they'll be hard and crumbly when they get there. Put them in a Ziploc or something of the sort. sandykay 09-16-2007, 06:58 PM I usually put them in one of those big tims that the christmas cookies come in, and then tape it shut, makes them look pretty too. Pamela 09-17-2007, 12:34 AM I'm trying to send cupcakes for Halloween... it would probably be smarter to leave the frosting off and just send the jar but I want to put it on myself... :teehee RockstarMom 09-17-2007, 12:38 AM I'm trying to send cupcakes for Halloween... it would probably be smarter to leave the frosting off and just send the jar but I want to put it on myself... :teehee Do cake in a jar. ;) They won't go stale or moldy. :D http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Cake-in-a-Jar/Detail.aspx I did that for DH for his birthday, he said it was perfect when it got to him 3 wks after I made it. brentscrystal 09-17-2007, 12:57 AM That's an awesome idea! I'm going to print that and put it in the recipe file... Thanks for sharing! Sarah982 09-17-2007, 01:05 AM I put them in those disposable Glad containers. And I stick a piece of bread in there to keep them moist (kind of the same idea as putting bread in your brown sugar so it's not hard as a rock!). |
