So, my BF and I have been separated for about 7 weeks, cuz I came out to school. He will be here to visit in a week and 10 days, YAY!!! about a month after his visit, he is being deployed. I was wondering if anyone had ideas about how to make this week extra special for him, us.

Be a tourist in your own town! The best memories I have of my DH are of us going out and "exploring". We went to the zoo, some museums, a local concert, went to a baseball game and hung out downtown. When I think about us, I always remember those times. The memories are so much more lasting and unique then just hanging about at home watching tv or playing video games. Whatever you do make that most of your time together! And don't be afraid to keep him to yourself. :D

I like the tourist idea. Look up things on AOL city guide (cityguide.aol.com). Splurge on a hotel with a king bed and jacuzzi ;)

a piece of advice....if you CAN try and get away from where you live. I always find that i focus on work and school even when my husband comes to see me for a few days (we're seperated even when he's not deployed) I find that i always have so much more fun when we go on a little mini vacation....even if its a crappy hotel (even though the nice ones are always great) just getting away to somewhere thats not your house...so you only focus on you and him....

:sex won't that make it special before he's gone for a LONG time???

haha

Just enjoy the time together. Don't let yourself focus on him leaving or being deployed. My last weekend with my boyfriend before he went to Basic, I literally spent thinking about how I was going to handle goodbye and I regret that I didn't just enjoy the moments with him.

Hit up Salt Lake! There tons of church history sites that would be great, try dinner at the JS Memorial building. I loved going to the Lion House Pantry, and touring Beehive house!!
