Hi, I'm Monica. It's been since the beginning of the year since I signed on, but now that I am settled back in Hawaii with my hubbie and son, I thought I would get back in contact with you lovely ladies on SOS. I'm 27 and have a beautiful little boy, Sam, who will turn 1 on Thursday. My husband has been in the Army for almost 10 years and just got back from his deployment in Iraq. We moved back here to Hawaii and once again, there is no one here that I know. I've found myself missing home and wanting to able to talk with friends and family like I did when we were back home. I'm hoping to find some very interesting people on here that I can communicate with and hopefully establish a friendship with. Looking forward to getting to know you all!

Really? That's cool! How long have you been here? Do you like it? Was it easy for you to make friends here? (Man, I must sound like a dork! :hehe) Was it hard when you first got here? You know, because of the distance?

I have been here since Aug 1st. I love it here. So beautiful. I am pretty involved with our boat support group but have met some new people too. I make an effort to put myself out there. Talk to people and try to be involved.
