gwen licks buddy's ears. and now buddy has just started to do the same to her. also, gwen nibbles on his front legs. do those things mean anything, or are they just wierd?

some dogs like ear licking, i had two dogs that would do it. it was a comfort thing, plus she is still a puppy right? so it could be something she is used to doing.

I think its normal. Our dogs used to do that alot. They would also lick the tops of each others head. It was cute.

probably just her thing.. as long as it doesn't cause fights just chalk it up to doggy quirks.

It actually is a sense of love that they do the ear licking...

With the biting on the paws, I would try and nip that in the bud.... Our girl Cara did that and would grab at his tail when the ran around in the back yard and he lost tail fur for a time.... It is them trying to antagonize the other to play with them....

BTW, when the girl is in season, the male may lick her ears and her the same to him to pick the mate.... but when it isn't in season, it is just a love thing and each is cleaning out the ears....

:lol it's a cat thing too! my cat always licks my dog's ears. she flips his ear up with her head and licks away he just looks at her like she is a weirdo.

My dogs sit on each other and lick each others ears...it's gross but they clearly love each other and they are both female.

It's normal.
