I was offered a good paying job in Oceanside/Vista and we are thinking of moving up there. At first we were looking at possibly renting a home in or around that area, but if possible I'd like to move onto base housing again.
Does ayone know what housing area is between where we are no [Gateway] and somewhere around Camp Pendleton??

just FYI, traffic going down to SD from north county on the 5 sucks. jason used to live in vista and commute to 32nd street -- took him about an hour and a half.

i work in carlsbad (near oceanside) and live in serra mesa... my commute is 25 mins there and an hour home...

doing the reverse is way worse.

Yeah it is really bad. We used to live in Vista and dh commuted to Coronado. The mornings weren't too bad because he left really early. Coming home was awful and sometimes on fridays it would be 2 hours. It actually was ok and seemed doable at first...but it will wear you down really fast.

We live in the Miramar housing and it takes my hubby 15 minutes to get to 32nd street.
