with the wild child...

It's not even that she's a bratty kid. She just is impatient and wants what she wants NOW. She's fiesty & has a lot of energy in her. She's not shy either.

I am trying to teach her how to wait, but that will come with time. Today we went to Gymboree for a free class. Her nana wants to buy her a membership there. Fine, whatever, I know Gabby would love it.

So she is just running around crazy & when I try to get her to be w/ the other kids, she would fight me, scream, and try to take off. She was the only one doing this and she would scream w/ excitement too when she was having fun & the kids & their mom's would look at me.

1 mom commented saying "she's really active" (I'm sure that was a polite way of saying something else :suspect) and how she must keep me busy. Another mom just was looking at me and gabby like "what a pain".

I know it's one of those things I will have to get used to. I wish my child was calm but she's not and that's her personality. I hate those looks, but like I said, I'll get used to it.

welcome to the world of having a "hyper-animated" child :)

z loves to play with other kids, and did at a very young age... buuut she was loud and talkative and sometimes what other people might consider "hard to handle"

it does get better!! trust me :D

Those looks from other mom's though...the "my child is an angel" ones :rolleyes

:lol

I felt like I pulled a muscle in my stomach today trying to keep her around the kids & her kicking & screaming when I'd carry her!

YEah the looks totally suck...The ones who are lucky enough to have a child that is well behaved and can't seem to understand that all children are different. My oldest dd was an angel...I have had it both ways so I get it I guess.

come spend a day in my house and I PROMISE my kids will make Gabby look calm :yes Jaxon is my super high energy, wild child and Shelby used to not be so bad but she's in that monkey see monkey do age so she's copying EVERYTHING he does, including the super insane behavior. So, yeah, I get what you're saying :nutts I get comments almost daily from people about how I have my hands full, how busy I must be, how I must have more patience than a saint :blahblah The looks and comments never stop.

I understand :lol With Hayden he will throw a fit if he hears the words "no", "wait", "just a minute", "hold on"... He is just not usually patient and he's very strong willed. If he doesn't want to hold my hand and walk somewhere he will just buckle his knees so I have to drag him or lift him by one arm. The kid hates sitting still for too long. I nicknamed him The Hulk.

Sometimes it drives me nuts because Madison is much more patient and even though she can be hyper and obnoxious she's not as "Hulk smash" rough as Hayden is. It gets embarrassing when Hayden throws fits but I figure if people want to judge then they can kiss my butt. No kid is perfect!
