Well, after all the horror stories of how collicy I was as a baby, I was so expecting Austin to follow those footsteps. WELL....... HE DIDN'T!!!!! :yahoo
Honestly girls he's one of the most relaxed and easy going babies ever! :yes He ONLY cries when he's uncomfortable(needs changed, hungry, or gas) Other than that he's very alert and his legs, arms, and neck muscles are sooo strong for an 8 day old baby. Not only that but other than our first night home from the hospital, he sleeps AT LEAST 3 hrs a night before getting up to eat and be changed then RIGHT back to sleep for another 3-4 hours. At most before 6am he's up is once. I can TOTALLY do that. He's gotten into our routine great :wub Last night he was up with me till midnight, ate then didn't wake up till 5am then was sleeping till 7:30am when i woke him up to feed :wub Not only is that going well but so is BFing I never thought it'd go as well as it has but WOW! It's amazing and I love our time alone together. :wub
That is awesome..enjoy that sweetie..Im so glad that he is doing so well and I hope that he continues to sleep for u
I did read that its bad for babies to not eat every 2-3 hrs and even if he is sleeping u need to wake him up to feed him..GOOD LUCK with the new baby!!

well i talked to his pediatrician and he told me if he's sleeping not to wake him only during the day. Plus yesterday he was so alert and going through a growth spurt I think cuz he cluster fed all day. He did soooo well.
ellie is like that too, but i wake her to eat every 3 hours if she doesn't wake on her own.
my mom did warn me, however, that colic generally develops in the 2nd month or so... so i'm not going to count my chickens just yet hehe :) (L)
glad he's so easy for you :D

I'm hoping it doesn't develop in him...but I'm crossing my fingers. Last night was the first time he went 5 hrs of sleeping without waking and since he was awake so much last night and all day yesterday and fed so much I let him wait. I hope I did the right thing.

Just remember that the first 6-8 weeks of breastfeeding you are building your supply. So if you dont feed him during those 5 hours your body will think to not make milk during that time. Thats why they say to usually wake em every few hours at first. Especially while your supply is building. Milk is supply and demand. Your body will make it during the times he is fed the most and not as much when he isnt.

I've been pumping when he's not feeding a couple times a day so my supply stays up. I'm actually suprised I can bf and have so much since none of the women in my family had a good supply or had a rich enough supply. But I have TONS!! I'm sooo happy with myself
unless you;re needing a huge supply to pump for when you go back to work there's no need to pump twice a day or so... your body will make enough milk to sustain your baby's needs ;)

I'm pumping so db can feed every once in awhile too. plus for when i go out in public. I just want him to share the experience with me too :wub
yea, i pump too, but i also get to go back to work in 3 weeks so i need a supply LOL and of course j likes to feed her, though only 1 bottle, every other night :) (he'd like to do more but i prefer it this way hehe
as for public... i just whip out my boobies ;)
