Ava is 7 months and she drinks about 4- 8 oz bottles a day and I usually give her a jar or a jar and a half of baby food at dinner with a little bit of water. I'm I doing right? Should I be feeding her more food? My Ped really never has anything to say when I ask her. She just says "thats okay" Anyway, it seems lately that she wants more baby food and not as much formula. When did you start feeding your baby three times a day? Or how do you feed your baby?

Ashley eats 3 times a day usually. She only drinks around 20-24oz of formula a day
Breakfast is fruit puffs or cheerios and cereal mixed with a fruit usually
Lunch is a veggie and sometimes fruit puffs
Dinner is a meat, veggie and a fruit if she is still hungry
I let her eat what she wants as long as her formula intake stays around where it is at. She loves baby food tho and eats the heck outta it. We're about to start stage 3 foods. I have also tried mashed potatoes. You can feed her as much as she wants really. Right now formula/BM should be the main nutrition but if she is drinking that much and wants more baby food then go for it

I have been too afraid to give her cheerios and meat. I did give her some baby food meat, but she gagged. lol! She has two teeth that aren't all the way through yet. Do you think that she would be okay with cheerios?

I havent given actual meat. Just the pureed baby food jars like chicken noodle, vegi beef etc
Yes she is fine. Ashley only has 2 teeth too and you'd be surprised how they can gum stuff. If you are worried start with the gerber fruit puffs. They dissolve fast. I started with those and then went to cheerios

Elizabeth will be ten month tomorrow (:wub) and she eats everything now! She is starting to slow down her formula intake, but the ped said it was ok as long as she was still getting at least 20oz, which she is.
But when she was about 7 months, she still ate A LOT! (she is like her dad :lol) She would eat about 5-6 tablespoons of cereal, a jar of veggies or dinner and half a jar of fruit with just about every meal (3x a day) and then when she got the hang of feeding herself, she eats about that, and about 1/4 cup of peas, or green beans, or carrots or whatever we are eating (except potatoes cuz she hates those!) and then bits of chicken or pork or turkey (I dont like to give her pieces of beef yet) But she likes it all! Including ice cream, thanks to Toby :rolleyes
The ped did tell me that since she is starting to be more picky about what she eats and when, to just offer it to her more through out the day (like more healthy snacks) and offer her more fluids as well weather it be juice, water, or formula. So that is what I have been doing.
Whenever I sit down for a snack, I usually share it with her. I only eat things that she can eat because of this. But her new favorite is those baby goldfish :giggle

I started my DS out on baby food around 5-6 months. He nursed too. If he wanted it, I gave it to him. By the time he was 10 months, he was eating what we were off the table. Everything from seafood to steak. Just was carefully and made sure he had liquids.
Just offer and see what she will eat.
As for cherrioes...they dissolver very quickly. Don't worry about it too much!
Just try and watch for allergies.
