so i am so frustrated with my child... she is in daycare and they send her home with homework. today she had to practice writing a's and s's. bith capital and lowercase. she was not trying to cooperate!!!! and i am getting so pissed off. she doesnt wanna listen and when she tries, she just draws a bunch of little circles and laughs about it. UGH!!!!:banghead. Im trying not to get mad at her though. I am overly stressed about the break up and everyhting and every little thing is freakin me out... but she wont listen to anything!!

And I shouldnt blame her anyways though. WHY WOULD YOU GIVE A 3YR OLD 2 PAGES OF HOMEWORK ANYWAYS?!?! Stupid daycare place. If you werent the cheapest place around here, I prolly wouldnt have her there. Why put stress on my child and she aint even in preschool yet. can she be fully potty trained before you give my child her SAT's?????:biting

IT is rough, but think how far ahead she'll be when she gets in to upper preschool and she knows her letters!

I thing it's just wrong to give a kid before 1st grade homework, they should be playing learning games and be learning how to make LEARNING fun at that age, and be playing so that they can get creative and imaginative mindsets. It's ridiculous to expect a 3 yr old to have their nose to the grindstone like that. Imagine how burnt out on school she will be by 2nd grade. :no

I don't think children at 3 should be forced to do that kinda stuff. If you force them to do it now...they will not want to do it later on. My mom has been a 3 yr old preschool teacher for about 15 years now and even at preschool...they don't give homework and they don't force the kids to actually do the stuff...they do make them sit down with the group, but they aren't forced to actually do it. If the kid can't really comprehend the concept of doing the stuff they are not going to be interested and forcing them makes them even less interested.
