I posted this tidbit of info in the Gitmo thread but I wasn't sure if you were going to see it. I bet it's the same deployment, because Mike said it's 6 months long and will leave around Nov/Dec. He said he thinks he should know by Friday.

Hey I just saw this. It sounds like it'll be the same deployment. How exciting. I hope Mike gets it so he doesn't get booted from the navy. I havn't heard from Tim yet, but he was suppose to volunteer yesterday so hopefully we'll know soon. The only negative about this whole thing is that they leave 3 weeks before christmas :(

Yep I finally heard from him, he went ahead and volunteered, but he was told that there are alot of volunteers so we just have to wait and see if he's picked.

OMG I just saw this... I'm soo sorry! Tim isn't going either. They denied him for Cuba, but made him the alternate for Afganastan if for some reason the person the selected can't go...
