you can get it done at the same time that you can spay a kitty... Our first kitty, she is 6 now had it done at 5 months along with spaying... Our kitten who now is about 2 never had to get her claws taken, she is really good about putting them in when you pick her up and the furniture is fine too....

I would look around for prices... My vet charges a lot for the procedure so that they don't have to do it much... They don't like it.:no But I feel it is a personal choice on it... We have 1 who is declawed and 1 who isn't...
