Hello everyone, my name is Devinn and I have recently been incorporated AGAIN in the Army life. My dad was in the military until I was 15, and when he got out I swore I would NOT marry military. Well, guess what...I'm going to. His name is Jeremy, Sergeant in the US Army. He and I have been together for about a year and during that year he got orders to PCS to Fort Riley, Kansas. I came with him, we got pregnant...and now he is deployed to Iraq. He left 4-Sept for 15 months. He contacted me yesterday to let me know he was leaving on a 90 day mission to God knows where doing God knows what and I must say I am freaking out...although I will never clue him into that. The lack of contact for 3 months is quite frankly going to kill me. So, I guess I'm looking for some encouraging words before I lose my mind.:banghead:tears:censored

Devin. I'm in a sort of same situation as you. Dad was in the Navy for 22 years. Met my boyfriend while we were both in high school in Japan & after high school he joined the Air Force. He's been in Iraq for only a week but it's already killing me. It's hard to go from talking to someone every day for however long you want, to once or twice a week for 10 minutes at the most. He doesn't get back until January, but I probably won't be able to see him until Spring Break. 6 months and counting. I'm in college right now, completely away from anyone that understands the military life or what I'm going through. So if you ever need to talk you're more than welcome to leave me a message =]
