i'm new to this site, and to the whole message board thing.
let's see i'm 16, and my boyfriend nick is 19. we met in highschool and he's a us marine. right now he's deployed and i'm losing my mind. so i figured i'd try this out.
i look forward to making new friends :]
& i don't know what else to say.

At my age, I say "18? isn't that a little young to be in love and do the deployed military spouse thing? so be nice!!!

I wasn't being critical. Just being honest, at 16, I was all over the map emotionally, I honestly don't think I could have handled putting a military relationship on my plate too

My best friend (who is now married) met her husband when she was 16. He was already through basic and deploying to afganistan (pre 9/11), they made it through several deployments, lots of long distance, and now they are married (5 years next month). It can be done, you just have to make sure you are both committed and happy :) good luck
